Dr. David graduated as a DVM from University of Guelph (in his native Canada) in 1982, and worked in mixed-animal practices in BC’s Rocky Mountains, and near Vancouver. He owned his own successful small-animal clinic, in the beach-town where he lived, from 1987-1994, and made "aliya", moving to Israel in 1995.
David founded the original Vets4Pets clinic in Herzliya Pituach in 1997, and then the clinic in Jaffa in 2008. Vets4Pets was the first vet clinic in Jaffa. Since 2015, David has been focusing on his life and his work, in Jaffa only.
As a member of the Israeli Companion Animal Veterinary Association he keeps up to date by attending seminars and conferences. David brings to the clinic more than 37 years of companion-animal veterinary experience, together with his own compassion for the patients. He also treats with complementary veterinary medicine, blending western and alternative vet medicine to treat holistically.
When David decided at age five that he would become a veterinarian, he never changed his mind. Through the years, he has had 8 dogs and 10 cats of his own, as well as rabbits and guinea pigs, birds, turtles, salamanders, mice, a rat, fish, chickens, sheep, a goat, a horse, a donkey (who knew how to open a sliding door into the living room to sneak onto the couch), and has of course been the ‘revolving door’ caretaker of endless street kittens and puppies who he raised and then adopted out.
Jenny the Beagle is David’s canine companion these days, and his shadow, joining him in his van, at work, and off-work on walks and hikes in parks, fields, forests and beaches.
David has four wonderful children, Ami, Maia, Gilad and Ofri, and is happily married to Noa.
